Responsibilities

Campus Apartments is seeking a Senior Project Manager for immediate hire to bid out and manage small and large projects, and remotely teach and manage site team managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the owner’s representative and project manager on capital improvement projects at various owned and managed commercial apartment properties

  • Coordinate, oversee, and monitor the successful biding, contracting, and completion of capital improvement projects ranging from property redevelopments to small renovations of properties ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and standards

  • Develop budgets and scopes of work from inspections of buildings during due diligence periods and typical property inspections

  • Coordinate work activities with regional management personnel and property staff

  • Inspect and sign off on work per Company standards

  • Routinely report on project status, and report monthly on portfolio capital plan

  • Conduct inspections of operating properties to assess 5 year capital needs at properties, and write and execute 5 year capital plans as needed

  • Travel to conduct due diligence, inspections, budgeting, and construction supervision as needed and as directed (approximately 33%)

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge or construction and project management principles

  • PMP certificiation

  • Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously

  • Proven ability to drive projects from inception and budgeting to successful completion and close out

  • 2-7 years of experience managing commercial renovation or construction projects; multifamily a plus

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management or similar fields

  • LEED Certification a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter

  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines

  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced and frequently changing environment
