The World-Wide Technology Deployment (WWTD) Strategy and Operations (S&O) team is seeking an enthusiastic, talented, and motivated Product Manager - Technical to lead our Analytics and Tooling team. This individual will be a pragmatic leader that can see across teams and business and work with their team to translate business needs into technology solutions, reporting mechanisms, and provide business analytics that scale both technically and operationally. This individual will lead a team that is handling evolving / complex demands with dependencies on other internal and external organizations, and will draw on stakeholder feedback, operational data, and past experience leading technology initiatives to set and deliver on goals for adoption, performance, and value creation. We are looking for a collaborative individual who embraces ambiguity, and is excited about solving hard, large-scale problems in a dynamic, team environment.

Key job responsibilities

• You work with your team and across World Wide Tech Deploy to understand the various processes, mechanisms, and tools used to execute the business. You ensure they are properly sized and positioned to support evolving business needs.

• You understand the data and metrics necessary to track and report performance across World Wide Tech Deploy and the organizations we support. You and your team enable processes and mechanisms to ensure our leaders and teams have access to these KPI’s as well as providing value-added analytics.

• You are able to assess business needs with respect to analytics, business intelligence, and tooling and effectively prioritize those across the business as we establish our workloads and the priorities of the external development teams that support us.

• You are able to establish and maintain a mechanism for understanding and tracking the readiness of our teams and our partners with respect to training requirements.

• You work with external teams to help ensue our data and metrics are properly positioned and available as we report up and across to other organizations.

A day in the life

As a Product Manager – Technical leading the Analytics and Tooling Team you will manage a dynamic and fast paced team of product managers, program managers, business intelligence engineers and analysts. You will take a lead role looking across WWTD and understanding the needs of the business when it comes to how we execute, communicate, improve and report. Working across your team you will help to ensure we establish globally consistent processes that retain the ability for the business to flex and adapt regionally when it makes sense. You maintain close alignment with other S&O teams such as the Project Management Office (PMO), Strategy, Partners, Quality, and Safety to ensure information sharing and integration is at the forefront of our approach.

World Wide Technology Deployment (WWTD) offers services to our global customers to realize the full value of automation solutions. We deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality integrations at scale to meet emerging network and business needs. We do this by partnering with upstream and downstream customers to innovate and perform rapid experimentation. This accelerates the maturity of complex solutions throughout the product lifecycle to enable simplified execution. Within WWTD the Strategy and Operations (S&O) team manages all of the operational and strategic functions to support WWTD. This includes all of the systems, tools, analytics, KPIs, goals, continuous improvement, and training requirements for WWTD.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
