Primary Function

Work with producers and clients to technically execute post production and delivery of HD videos in a fast-paced, multi-media production department. This includes all aspects of video editing and motion graphic design with 2-D and 3-D animations. This position is on-site with no remote work.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create broadcast-quality video products.

  • Receive story board, creative brief, script and outline of footage and/shot list, transcript of interviews, collect materials and create video projects to meet creative and overall objectives for clients’ projects.

  • Make creative decisions based on written scripts or input from client

  • Actively participate in conversations with internal and external partners in production meetings and event planning to provide visually dynamic and engaging solutions.

  • Edit original video content from multi-camera, in studio and off-site video productions.

  • Create original graphic content that enhances and compliments the video narrative.

  • Able to produce complex 3D animations. On occasion, be able to turnaround quick gifs etc. for social media

  • To be able to cut garden variety explainer and country-focus videos in premiere

  • Ensure visual and thematic continuity throughout the production process.

  • Conduct client review, receive feedback and revise the production until it meets expected quality and specification.

  • Color/sound correct, add motion graphics, visual effects, select sound/music, oversee narration recording and develop final products.

  • Compress edited video for final delivery, handle posting to media outlet and oversee archiving to Media Asset Management system.

  • Process and ingest footage, final video projects, purchased images, audio files and other rich media into the MAM system

  • Handle multiple projects and deadlines and ensure high quality of work – with strong attention to detail

  • Keep log of project progress and time spent on projects in the Multimedia Information System.

  • Required to perform duties where necessary during extended hours, and occasionally for special events during evenings and weekends

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of video production processes.

  • Proficient and experience with varying editing/compression software, video hosting sites, and PC/MAC

  • Expertise in 2-D and 3-D graphics for digital products

  • Ability to create results-oriented videos to meet strategic business requirements

  • Understanding of video codex

  • Ability to prioritize, juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines, both as individual contributor and support team member

  • Effective communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Must be self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and focused determination. Performs well under pressure.

  • Proficient in Adobe CC.

Education & Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a 2-D / 3-D Motion Graphics Designer and Video Editor obtained in a broadcast environment or advertising or creative agency.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Graphic Design, or Visual Arts is required
