ASRC Federal Holding Company Systems Administrator - Lead (LINUX) in Washington, District Of Columbia

ASRC is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the vacant Systems Administrator - Lead (LINUX) position on our Command-and-Control Support Agency (CCSA) Technical Services Division (TSD) located full-time onsite, at the Pentagon.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading multiple projects and departments, and will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

The Systems Administrator – Lead (LINUX) shall possess extensive knowledge of IT networking, hardware, firmware, application software, operating system software, and database management systems (DBMS).This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and help create innovative solutions.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Install, configure, and fine-tune Linux/Red Hat (RHEL) operating systems.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving operating systems, applications, databases, email systems, and data interfaces.

  • Manage Linux/RHEL systems within a complex, multi-layered network environment.

  • Apply knowledge of current Information Assurance (IA) and IT Security control implementation procedures.

  • Monitor for security incidents, including intrusion and penetration detection, and provide alert notifications.

  • Possess knowledge with Storage Area Networks (SAN), as well as enterprise backup solutions and fault-tolerant technologies.

Requirements :

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five (5) years in Information Technology.

  • At least the last three (3) years specifically in Linux/RedHat (RHEL) System Administration.

  • Experience with LINUX/RedHat administration for the US Army and on Command and Control (C2) systems is desired.

CLEARANCE LEVEL:

  • Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

CERTIFICATION(S):

  • Must hold IAT Level III or IAM Level II certification in accordance with DoDD 8140.01/DoDI 8570.01-M

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Electronics.
