ManTech Systems Engineer II in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer II to join our team in the DMV area. We have opportunities in the Washington, DC area as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland. If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supports analyses, trade studies, modeling and simulation, technical reviews, and the optimization of system requirements

  • Support Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) tailoring activities; develop engineering documents for assigned programs; and assist in the development, coordination, and administration of internal program/system configuration and data management strategies, plans, procedures, as well as toolset implementation and maintenance

  • Establish and maintain control of requirements, documentation, and artifacts produced throughout the program/system’s lifecycle and manage the impact of change

  • Support the Requirements Development, Traceability, and Verification processes and provide technical advisory support to multidisciplinary working groups

  • Support the development of system performance metrics, test objectives, validation strategies, and Test Event Plans, and assist the program's Engineering Team in documenting issues and action items

  • Publishing meeting minutes and developing briefings to communicate project status

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field

  • Two or more (2+) years of relevant experience

  • Experience with DoD 5000.02 documentation requirements

  • Experience with use case development, requirements derivation, and developing technical project artifacts

  • Familiarity with Agile software development process

  • Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order:

  • CCNA-Security

  • CySA+ GICSP

  • GSEC

  • Security+ CE

  • CND

  • SSCP

  • If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required

  • If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering

  • Master's degree in STEM field

  • Relevant industry standard certifications

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies

Clearance Requirements:

  • This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
