We’re hiring a Temporary Staff Accountant, Payroll
This role will be responsible for assisting the existing accounting and finance team with bi-weekly payroll processing and general accounting functions for Call Your Mother to ensure that each department of the company has timely and accurate financial data to make better decisions. You will be primarily helping with payroll data entry, review of financial and accounting transactions, management of accounts payable, oversight of general financial system maintenance, and budgeting and forecasting process. You will leave an imprint on all aspects of finance and accounting, but will also work closely with our shop operations, production, supply chain, marketing, HR, and data teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a high-growth company where you will get broad exposure to all aspects of the business. In this role you will learn plenty about growing a business, gaining knowledge in areas that are not limited to a typical accounting role.
This is a full-time (40 hours) temporary position (16 weeks) with a rate of $25/hr. The ideal candidate will be available to work remotely on Tuesdays and Fridays and in our home office in Park View on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
This role will report directly to our Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting. It has the potential to become a full-time position and we are seeking applicants who have this availability.

Your core responsibilities will be:
Entering payroll data and processing payroll information on a bi-weekly basis
Completion of general financial accounting tasks, including reconciling GL accounts and creating journal entries to support delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting
Active participation in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flows, and audits of employee credit card spending to ensure policy compliance
Assisting with system and data maintenance in the accounting software, POS, and data dashboard
Tracking budget vs actual expenditures on various projects
Supporting shop operators and training new team members on CYM accounting systems
Enforcing internal controls to protect company assets
Assisting with implementation of new accounting policies and platforms
Additional duties may be assigned as needed
You’ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you:
Have at least 2-3 years of Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll, and/or related experience
Have experience processing payroll using ADP Total Workforce Now
Are proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including ability to use advanced formulas
Are comfortable working with large data sets
Have analytical skills to identify trends, make operational decisions, and solve problems
Have experience or desire to support executive-level management and drive interdepartmental collaboration
Can prioritize and coordinate objectives among a diversified group of stakeholders
Are a team player and always willing to help others
Can prioritize and meet projects with deadlines
