Qualifications ASSESSMENT FACTORS 1. Leverages relationships internal and external to the organization to proactively plan for changes in transportation requirements. 2. Demonstrated experience as a foreman or team lead directing lifecycle management, including procurement, inventory accountability and disposition of mechanical parts and equipment. 3. Experience in the operation, inventory warehousing, maintenance and scheduling of specialized transportation vehicles in support of contingency operations. 4. Knowledge and experience in the application of Department of Defense and/or Department of State specialized vehicle programs, policies and standards. 5. Exercises independent judgment in selecting and applying appropriate work methods, procedures, techniques, and practices in accomplishing their logistics duties and responsibilities. HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS 1. National level certification (e.g. Automotive Service Excellence – ASE) and experience in automotive engine repair and maintenance. 2. Experience maintaining and servicing non-tactical, commercially armored vehicles. ndergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. or Experience Specialized Experience (for positions above GG-5): Experience that demonstrated a knowledge of the transportation function(s) of the position to be filled. Education Additional Information DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency’s conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement.
