Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SUBMARINE MANAGEMENT BRANCH, NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGIENERING DVISION, NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of CARDEROCK DIV NS. Responsibilities You will serve as an infrastructure manager for the Columbia Class Submarine Program. You will serve as a management advisor to address a wide variety of interrelated infrastructure development that can include financial, contractual, programmatic or other Columbia Class focus areas. You will develop guidance, policies and procedures for organization and program improvement as related to cost, schedule and performance metrics. You will prepare and implement long-range planning objectives covering administrative aspects of the organization and other assigned areas. You will establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate projects. You will prepare coordinated reports, presentations, and briefings in support of program actions, briefs to senior leadership, and making recommendations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equiavalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing ship or submarine design or repair project requirements to identify issues, develop reports, and recommend solutions for a warfare program. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
