Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST within OJAG. This position is a fully remote approved position. This position may require you to report in person for an established amount of days per pay period if you reside within the Washington Navy Yard, District of Columbia commuting area. Responsibilities You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization. You will direct and perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas. You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following; 1.Understanding and utilizing financial management policies and regulations with specific emphasis on funding requisition and budget execution and fiscal law issues 2. Creating funding documents, utilizing of various financial management systems, communicating with activities to obtain documentation and creation of standard operating procedures. 3. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving financial execution problems such as unmatched disbursements, abnormal accounts payables, unliquidated obligations, inability to obtain supporting documentation, meeting established deadlines, completion of budgetary taskers and reports, and system issues. 4. Managing defense property requirements including policy and reporting of assets in the applicable asset management system.
