Your Role
The Air Export Gateway Agent is responsible for cost-effective movement of air export freight managed by the Air Export Gateway department as directed by the Manager. You will process MAWB consolidations, set trade-lanes encompassing the ATA process. Operational experience in the airfreight industry including prior experience with warehousing/ airline/ GHA/ freight forwarder Air Export Gateway operations. This role working days is Tuesday through Saturday in Dulles.
Your Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service regarding quality and data integrity.
Prepare, handle and process documentation needed for air export consolidations.
Work and collaborate with the air export departments in the region.
Arrange bookings with carriers; improve cargo consolidations.
Ensure processing and delivery to the airport; constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatch during the consolidation process.
Track and trace shipments; monitor vendor performance; address and resolve service irregularities.
Help maintain relationships with vendors and internal customers.
Other tasks as assigned.
Your Skills and Experiences
Ability to listen, comprehend and be pro-active
Be profit conscious, individual contributor and part of a team and accomplish multiple tasks and work in deadlines.
Solid data entry with high accuracy rate, email, internet, excel, word).
Solid knowledge of export procedures/documentation.
