Description:

Position Purpose:

The Clinical Dietitian is a member of the health care team providing nutritional care: Nutritional assessment and diet instruction and nutrition education to patient, clinic staff and community.

What you will do:

  • Coordinates the management of the clinical specialty areas of the outpatient Nutrition Services.

  • Coordinates Adult Nutrition Education opportunities for patients, residents, nurses, staff, students, and community.

  • Contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Registration as a dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and a state licensure as a licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) are required. Maintenance of registration and licensure required as per guidelines.

  • Position requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dietitian, preferably in a healthcare environment.

  • Work requires the analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, synthesize a Pro problem list and to devise/implement intervention.

  • Work requires effective verbal and written communication skill, which may include explaining clinical, technical concepts to physicians, other health care team members, patients, and their families. Enforces policies and regulations in difficult situations or preforms other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skills.

  • Allergen Awareness training/certificate an Serv Safe Management training/certificate preferred.
