Overview

The Brand Ambassador manages a specific territory which consists of pharmacies/drugstores. This role will be responsible for increasing sales and brand awareness while developing a strong business relationship with the store Cosmetics Managers.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed instructions for execution of client priorities through in-store merchandising.

  • Review and understand sales results by store, territory, and region in comparison to sales goals.

  • Conduct business reviews with Cosmetics Managers at each store visit.

  • Prepare action plans by store to ensure achievement of goals.

  • Plan and execute in store events to build brand awareness and increase in-store sales.

  • Negotiate with Cosmetics Managers to secure extra in-store displays.

  • Ensure successful new product launches by negotiating additional display space in-store and educating cosmeticians.

  • Learn and communicate product knowledge effectively to cosmetic department staff as well as directly to consumers.

  • Ensure that all promotional activities are properly displayed.

  • Ensure planogram compliance at the store level for the client’s brand.

  • Follow all company process, policy, and position responsibilities.

Qualifications

Physical Demands : The associate will be regularly required to stand up to 8 hours at a time on a flat surface; walk through the store aisles to engage potential consumers; use hands and fingers to handle or feel the products; talk and hear to the supervisor’s guidelines and consumer inquiries; visual ability to read instructions and perform events.

Education/Experience : High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 2-3 years related experience and/or training in sales experience with cosmetic or beauty experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills : Proficient use of a personal computer and experience working with online tools and apps such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Work environment : Retail store environment with travel throughout the assigned territory.

Language Skills : Must have effective written and oral communication skills; English and/or French depending on the territory managed. Bilingual skills are considered an asset.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Dress Code : Must present a professional and appropriately groomed appearance consistent with the requirements of the role. Specific Retailer Dress code requirements are included in the training documents, where applicable.
