Sonalysts, Inc. Project Financial Analyst in Waterford, Connecticut

Sonalysts, Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking a team-oriented self-starter for a full-time financial analyst/technical administration position requiring strong organizational skills and a high proficiency in financial forecasting, tracking, and reporting in addition to editing written communications.

What You Will Be Doing:

This position will support a program management team for a range of military training programs. Depending on program requirements, responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Financial/Technical Status Report management and editing

  • Financial analysis and reporting

  • Quality assurance reviews for technical reports and other documentation

  • Technical editing and writing

  • Processing and tracking financial, technical, and programmatic metrics for the program

  • Monitoring schedule performance

  • Coordination of procurement activity with corporate purchasing officer

  • Developing and monitoring standard operating procedures and templates

    Occasional travel may be required with less than 10% travel expected.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline with strong emphasis on written communications; or four (4) years of related experience and a High School diploma (in lieu of a college degree)

  • High proficiency with the MS Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with an emphasis on Excel usage to track Financial Progress

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related finance/accounting roles

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*

    Strongly desired additional qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with MS Project

  • Experience with software development projects

  • Possessing an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*

    *Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check. Candidates are eligible for a clearance if they have demonstrated sound financial management (including good credit) over time, are free of criminal records, have limited foreign contacts or ties, and other factors indicative of a position of trust to protect information sensitive to the U.S. Government.
