Sonalysts, Inc. Project Financial Analyst in Waterford, Connecticut
Sonalysts, Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking a team-oriented self-starter for a full-time financial analyst/technical administration position requiring strong organizational skills and a high proficiency in financial forecasting, tracking, and reporting in addition to editing written communications.
What You Will Be Doing:
This position will support a program management team for a range of military training programs. Depending on program requirements, responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Financial/Technical Status Report management and editing
Financial analysis and reporting
Quality assurance reviews for technical reports and other documentation
Technical editing and writing
Processing and tracking financial, technical, and programmatic metrics for the program
Monitoring schedule performance
Coordination of procurement activity with corporate purchasing officer
Developing and monitoring standard operating procedures and templates
Occasional travel may be required with less than 10% travel expected.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline with strong emphasis on written communications; or four (4) years of related experience and a High School diploma (in lieu of a college degree)
High proficiency with the MS Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with an emphasis on Excel usage to track Financial Progress
Minimum 2 years of experience in related finance/accounting roles
Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
Strongly desired additional qualifications:
Extensive experience with MS Project
Experience with software development projects
Possessing an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
*Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check.
