Aerotek Welder Fitter in WATERFORD, Michigan

Description:

Heavy plate welding, 1", 2" and 3" steel with Flux Core welding.

Steel mill and metal foundry equipment repair. Big tables, base plate welding often.

Mig welding of thick steel. This individual is a welder, but is tasked with reading and interpreting blue prints to performing the initial fit up of welded assemblies. They would communicate directly with engineering when required and work with minimum supervision. Proficient use of fork truck, and pendent controlled overhead crane is required.

Able to read mechanical blueprints, both detail and assembly.

Able to use micrometers and precision measuring instruments.

Operates overhead cranes to 50T capacity.

Operates fork truck and man lift.

Manually lift 20-25 pounds on regular basis
