JOB REQUIREMENTS: A south-central Wisconsin cheese manufacturing company is looking for a motivated and reliable Maintenance Lead to help coordinate and carry out all maintenance of their manufacturing equipment! They will manage a preventative maintenance program and direct the work of the Maintenance Operator. Essential Job Duties: Maintain and repair equipment and facilities including electrical, plumbing, and other building systems. Oversee the ordering and stocking of operating supplies. Perform regular maintenance inspections and record findings. Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance of equipment. Respond to emergency calls and take appropriate action. Monitor maintenance costs and take steps to ensure efficiency. Train and educate maintenance staff on proper safety protocols and procedures. Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner and comply with legal and safety regulations. Keep the maintenance area clean and orderly. Work with all staff to ensure proper and safe machine operations. Help to maintain an inventory-control program for maintenance. Have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP\'s) and utilize these practices while performing job duties. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma or GED required. Three to five years in a similar maintenance role; manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment or recommend solutions. Ability to effectively work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team. Ability to react well under pressure. Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication style to fit the situation and diverse audiences. Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate work independently, balancing multiple work demands in a fast-paced environment. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships that instill trust and confidence. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to participate in training sessions and accept stakeholder, supervisor, and staff suggestions. Physical Requirements: Primarily heavy work. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours. Physical Activity: Extensive physical activity that includes, but is not limited to, standing up to 8 hours, lifting up to 80 pounds, repetitive motions, walking, stooping, crouching and kneeling. Frequently reaching, carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Work/Environmental: Constant and steady equipment noise.
