Position Criteria:
- Valid Iowa K-12 Administrative license
- Master's degree in Education related field
- Evaluator Approval Certification
Performance Criteria:
- Professional Development - This position works in collaborations with administrative team, counselors, and instructional coaches to plan and teach professional development to certified staff.
- Leadership Teams - This position helps plan and facilitates team meetings with different leadership teams in their building and attends other leadership teams district-wide (i.e. administrative team meetings).
- Teacher Evaluations - This position assists in the professional growth cycle/evaluation of certified staff (i.e. teachers) using tools such as Teacher Walkthroughs, PLCs, Annual Conferences, etc..
- Ultimately responsible for oversight of personnel matters within their building
- Discipline and attendance - dealing with student issues, discipline, and attendance issues in their building.
- Student Management System (discipline logs, updating schedules, etc.)
- Hiring non-certified positions for their building in conjunction with the assistant principal.
- Assists in determining, monitoring and approving purchases within their building budget
- General supervision (lunch room, hallways, pods, after school)
- Oversee building PLC activities to ensure attendance and participation by certified staff.
- Facilities management/planning (custodial concerns, bldg maintenance, bathrooms, IT tickets, etc.) and coordinates with operations department when needs arise
- Attends Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support students and staff to ensure educational opportunities, success, and compliance with State and Federal Law.
- Staff communication

- Parent communications to problem solve student, parent and staff concerns or communicate disciplinary consequences.
- Busing/Transportation (communication, supervision and discipline)
- Performance evaluations of classified (non-certified) staff.
- Print approval
- PTO/Parent Advisory
- Assist in securing daily substitutes and long term substitutes.
- Transition withmiddle school feeders (communication with other administration/buildings)
- Emergency Protocol (fire/tornado/lockdown)
- Community Engagement
- TimeClock Plus Approval
- Plan and organize parent-teacher conferences
- Collaborate with Assistant Activities Director on student activity implementation and event coverage
