GE Healthcare Lead Demand Material Planner – A&S Business in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

As the Lead Demand Material Planner, you will be responsible for the forecast management of Accessories and Supplies (A&S) Purchase for Stock (PFS), and support hand-off from NPI to planning execution. In this position, you will plan and schedule material forecasts and/or material needs for over 1,500 parts globally. This role will need to partner with SBU, RBU, and Manufacturing teams to understand product strategy, NPI, demand management patterns, and supply consumption. You will be responsible for defining and leading standard work across the Planning organization and sharing best practices with key organizational stakeholders along with supporting fulfillment requirements.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: Lead Demand Material Planner will lead projects and initiatives to improve fulfillment, reduce inventory and not hurt fulfillment or improve system performance. These projects will span across the A&S organization and be tied to Planning tools for A&S:

  • Lead PFS planning and materials management across the A&S portfolio, NPI/product roadmap, service/upgrades, and aligned to SBU inventory/fulfillment strategy.

  • Measure, report, and drive improvements to Demand and Supplier forecast accuracy by creating the live Pareto of Forecast accuracy defects/misses.

  • Monitoring and analysis of sales history, reporting of forecast changes and drivers. Measuring and analyzing regional key performance indicators and derive clear actions from it.

  • Track and analyze regional demand performance and take leadership in exceptions management (Big Deal, RA Approvals)

  • Partner with operations team and Product management to improve inventory and find/correct root causes of slow- moving stock.

  • Manage master planning, material processes, prepare and update schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.

  • Act as Project Leader for Accessories Initiatives and propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • Key contributor for Hoshin Kanri initiatives by applying Project Management and analytical skills for PSR and improvement processes to achieve KPI success.

  • Host and present the progress in Leadership reviews as per Integrated Business Planning Process cycle. Communicate regularly with Leadership & stakeholders and leadership on the status/impact of the improvement/projects.

  • Help onboard new Business areas and scope changes to Planning, while driving the day-to-day Plan execution while tracking and ensuring the trend towards the required Business/Planning outcomes.

  • Perform and prepare required functional/data analysis on multiple large data sets or databases and validate changes to drive the anticipated outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of Supply Chain Planning domain & Project leadership experience

  • Minimum 2 year of experience working in Supply Chain Planning or implementation of Supply Chain Planning applications is preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in working with Oracle ERP (Inventory, Purchasing and Order Management modules) and experienced in working with SQL (MS SQL Server and Oracle).

  • Must have experience in analyzing and drawing conclusion on large data sets

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and should possess the ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment and meet deadlines.

  • Must be willing to work out of local GEHC office, when needed.

Desired Characteristics :

  • Buyer, MCC, Order Fulfilment Leader, or Master Scheduler experience in Demantra or equivalent.

  • Experience using statistical forecasting.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide timely responses. Demonstrate Sense of Urgency.

  • Organized and detailed oriented. Global experience as an individual contributor, leading & influencing people on other teams.

  • APICS or other professional certification programs

  • Flexible to be available in weekends, if needed
