QPS EMPLOYMENT GROUP Line Production Lead in WAUKESHA, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Understand safety requirements and apply them to training associates, procedures/processes, and daily management of associates - Understand quality requirements and apply them to training associates, procedures/processes, and daily management of associates - Understand run-rate requirements and work to ensure that training of associates, procedures/processes, and daily management of associates align with the stated rates - Be the main point of contact for assigned production area and proactively work with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, etc., to satisfy stated run-rates - Help create and maintain processes to identify and drive improvement activities in all areas (Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, etc.) - Train (and maintain) associates under your responsibility and maintain the training logs and any associated documentation - Be part of the build process when necessary - Check schedule daily, understand a minimum of the 5-day demand (may be longer for different areas), and plan accordingly (human resources, inventory levels, etc.) - Understand and maintain stated productivity levels (labor hours required for the desired rate) and react accordingly - Ensure that all associates clock in and out of jobs correctly - Support GEMBA walks - Perform weekly 5S audits and associated actions - Elevate issues that are not being addressed - Consistent and timely use of accountability tools - Backup to Production Lead - Follow policies and procedures according to Quality Management System - All other duties as assigned ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Some assembly experience - Apply a positive attitude to situations - A high sense of urgency (ex. Quality issues, procurement, maintenance, etc.); reacting quickly and communicating immediately - Ability to define problems and establish facts; ability to assist to define the root cause of issue starting to use problem-solving tools, including behavioral opportunities - Demonstrated proactive communication in terms of meeting behavioral and line goals - Ability to lead team (line); assign tasks based on line-level activity - Ability to manage/facilitate but may require assistance; identify stakeholders - Sufficient technical knowledge to manage (set-up, adjust if required, troubleshoot before calling for support) stand-alone pieces of equipment - Clear understanding of line-specific assembly techniques, including training; enforcement of rate expectations - Ability to set up and verify set-up, including tooling fixtures and dies as well as electronic test and data capturing; ability to complete 1st pc/last pc inspections - Knowledge of test standards and what design considerations are needed to meet them; resource for testing issues and troubleshooting - Understand cost and timing goals; focus on line efficiencies and make decisions based on improvements thereof - Understand business systems as it relates to their position; understand inventory management and basic troubleshooting related to inventory management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; drive line rates and res ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: south@qpsemployment.com Apply Online: https://jobs.qpsemployment.com/jobs/736390 This position is listed by a private employment agency.
