Aston Carter Credit Analyst in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Job Title: Accounts Receivable AnalystJob Description

Supports the order to cash process for an entry-level/basic portfolio of accounts in accordance with company collection policies and procedures. This role focuses on converting receivables into cash while maintaining a minimum amount of past dues for assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process collection of receivables for assigned accounts by ensuring timely payments from existing customers.

  • Maintain customer collection files with pertinent documentation and document collection activity as required by policy.

  • Ensure proper account maintenance, including accounts receivable reconciliation, resolution of open chargebacks, credit memos, and unapplied cash.

  • Process credit memos within authority parameters and apply necessary adjustments/offsets.

  • Keep all key stakeholders, including Sales and Credit management, informed of any problematic accounts receivable issues.

  • Serve as a liaison with sales, customers, and third-party finance providers as needed.

  • Ensure full compliance with all company policies, internal controls, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

  • Perform weekly reviews of over-credit line reports and work with the Credit Risk department to mitigate over-limit situations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of finance and credit concepts, including a basic understanding of commercial/consumer law.

  • Ability to professionally consult with internal and external customers to resolve complaints.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse partners both internally and externally.

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and demonstrates effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize.

  • Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the credit or customer service field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the credit or AR field.

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Work Environment

Onsite environment with potential flexibility for occasional remote work. Part of a larger credit and collections and cash application team. The onsite facilities include a clinic, fitness center, and cafeteria. The company sponsors a stage at SummerFest, providing free tickets to employees.
