Manager Damage Assessment

Lead and direct all operations within the Damage Assessment Unit. A critical cross functional partner within the Claims organization including Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Units. Is conversant regarding team performance trends, can convey a detailed understanding of the opportunities for improvement and maintain/execute improvement actions that lead to results within established targets.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years claims handling experience

• Previous experience in leading and managing staff is preferred

• Relevant industry designations

Knowledge and Skills

• Working knowledge of key equipment types involved in high frequency Equipment Breakdown claims

• Working knowledge of other coverages associated with EB claims

• Previously demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. teaching, guiding, coaching and developing staff)

• Sound analytical skills

• Knowledge of Data Management & Analytics

• Excellent customer focus and ability to partner with internal and external customers

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all levels of the organization.

• Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.

• Ability to foster teamwork to include conflict resolution, personal and team accountability, openness to influence and team commitment.
