Position Summary
The Salad Bar Worker is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining the salad bar to ensure an appealing and clean display. This role involves preparing fresh ingredients, replenishing items, and ensuring that the salad bar meets quality and food safety standards. The Salad Bar Worker plays a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for USLI employees by providing fresh and appealing food options.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation and Presentation
- Prepare and cut vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients for the salad bar, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Arrange and display items on the salad bar in an attractive and accessible manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly restock items to maintain availability for customers.
- Team player work ethic
- Other duties as assigned
- Cleanliness and Sanitation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salad bar area, including surfaces, utensils, and containers.
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and waste disposal.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of the salad bar area and equipment.
- Customer Service
- Provide friendly, prompt, and courteous service to USLI employees and guests.
- Assist customers with any questions regarding salad bar items and provide recommendations.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or escalate issues to management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in food preparation or service is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed for stocking and restocking items.
- Flexible work schedule, with potential to work mornings, afternoons, or during peak meal times.
- Schedule: 7 AM -- 3 PM, Monday - Friday
