General Production Worker

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will be part of our Layout Department and will be responsible for routing and tying wires to form wire harnesses used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems. Your day-to-day tasks will include reading instructions such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly. You will select wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loop wires between guide pegs on harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on board or diagram. You will also wrap and tie wires together at designated points to form harness, either using a tie wrap gun or manually putting on tie wrap. You may also attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip, using soldering iron or crimping device, and may insert harness into plastic tubing or flex guard to protect from dust and moisture. Finally, you will test wiring continuity using a continuity tester or program, and note on Work order/traveler identifying data on completed harness.

This is a contract position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

You will be working in a light industrial manufacturing facility from Monday to Friday, 3:30pm to midnight. Closed toed shoes and safety glasses are required for personal protection.
