Hands-on Plant Manager to efficiently lead our Plant in Waynesboro (PA).
Qualifications:
- Computer savvy, Timecard software, Inventory software, Excel and reporting

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises about 30 employees within various departments.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs the manufacturing functions at the facility through subordinates to ensure that quality products are produced on time and in a cost-effective manner.
- Defines manufacturing objectives for the facility.
- Coordinates the activities and the transfer of information between manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and sales as required, to ensure that materials and manpower are effectively utilized in a cost-effective manner.
- Prepares or directs the completion of manufacturing reports to ensure that all company managers are kept up to date on manufacturing objectives and performance.
- Establishes manufacturing goals for the facility and provides the required resources to obtain these goals.
- Systematically evaluates the performance of subordinate departments and personnel, and then takes appropriate action.
- Suggests plant layout changes to improve production capacity and efficiency
- Oversees the facility maintenance and its security ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Directs and supervises the company's safety and regulatory programs.
- Coordinates with the purchasing department to ensure that company requirements are met.
- Coordinates with the shipping and traffic functions to ensure that shipments arrive on time and at the lowest possible cost.
- Participates in the formulating and administering of company goals, plans and programs.
- Provides mentoring to peers and subordinates as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
