Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will handle a wide range of responsibilities due to the smaller company size, necessitating you to wear multiple hats. You will manage one headliner launch at a time and support product development, sales, quoting processes, material handling, customer liaison, engineering changes, process development, testing, and production hand-off. You will follow headliner projects from cradle to grave with customers including Stellantis, GM, Ford, and Rivian. Some meetings will occur at later hours (8 PM) to coordinate with international teams in China. You will travel weekly between the Owosso and Webberville plants and visit customers based on project phases. In-state travel is required with reimbursement provided.
Hard Skills
Product/Process/Project Engineering (minimum 3 years)
Hands-on experience in headliner development at tier 1 or tier 2 supplier
Launch experience with knowledge of headliner materials and processing
Reviewing and approving design changes
Creating process and design specifications
New product/process development
Analyzing complex design problems

This is a fully on-site position in Webberville, Michigan.
Work Environment
First shift (8-5) with some flexibility on start time. Minimal remote work flexibility, possibly once a month. Travel required between Owosso and Webberville plants, and possibly to Canada once or twice a year. Mostly located at the Owosso plant due to current launches. You will work within a team of 9 project managers.
