Description
SUMMARY
As a Nurse (LPN) in Hemodialysis, your specialized skill set and ability to collaborate with the Registered Nurse is vital to exceptional patient care.
STATUS: Part Time
LOCATION: Bay Creek
DEPARTMENT: Dialysis
SCHEDULE: 20 hours per week

- Patient Care & Evaluation. Conduct a thorough assessment of each patient's medical status upon admission and throughout the patient's course of treatment; provide regular patient status updates
- Treatment Administration. Assist in the implementation of the patient's treatment plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN); initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments using multiple access sites; administer IVP medications to dialysis patients
- Documentation. Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner

Key Responsibilities:
The LPN working in Hemodialysis responsibilities include application/mastery of skills in area of specialization, guidance and general oversight to less experienced employees; may train new employees. The duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex issues, patient cases or technical skills.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
