Elevator Field Service Technician

Location Multiple Cities - Heavy Travel (Must reside near a large metropolitan airport) Willing to relocate.

Job Summary

The Elevator Field Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, refurbishments, and installations of elevator equipment in a cost-efficient and profitable manner, while maintaining high-quality standards and workmanship.

Elevator Field Service Technicians will collaborate closely with other service technicians, customers, and report directly to a Service Supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct mechanical inspection services on all makes and models of elevator equipment.

  • Perform mechanical repairs, field refurbishments, and installations on elevator equipment.

  • Conduct maintenance and inspections on the company's various brands of products.

  • Implement mechanical repairs and field modernization solutions.

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns, identify and repair mechanical faults.

  • Document service activities and reporting in the system.

  • Interact with customers and vendors as required.

  • Adhere to all safety policies, company policies, and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities and Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical theory strongly desired.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Proficiency in hand tools and power tools.

  • Flexibility to work flexible hours.

  • Willingness to travel for extended periods, up to 100%.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Current valid US Driver's License required.

  • Must be over the age of 21.

  • Current, valid TWIC Card required.

  • Ability to acquire a US Passport.

  • Ability to pass relevant background check, motor vehicle report, physical, and drug/alcohol tests.

  • Comfortable working at extreme heights.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience in a similar field strongly desired.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb all structure types.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including inclement weather.

  • Comfortable working at extreme heights.

  • Ability to work in enclosed spaces.

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, bend, squat, kneel, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and crouch for extended periods.

  • Ability to drive for extended periods.

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

  • Ability to visually inspect equipment.

Pay and Benefits

$26-48/HR Depending on experience

Paid Time Off, Medical Insurance

Pay Details: $26.00 to $48.00 per hour
