Performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department, including AP & AR.

Accounts Payable &/or Accounts Receivable

§ Voucher Vendor PO and Non-PO related invoices.

§ Review invoices and obtain approvals as necessary.

§ Enter and route payable invoices.

§ Reconcile Vendor Statements

§ Initiation of checks, wires, or ACH Payments

§ Enter sales invoices.

§ Assist in collections.

§ Assist in the annual preparation of 1099 statements.

§ Process cash receipts.

§ Print wire receipts and maintain payment & receipt log.

§ Prepare spreadsheets to allocate various charges to the operating units.

§ Provide backup to receptionist as needed, (i.e. covering the phones, etc.)

§ Assists with month-end close processes.

§ Adheres to accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

Ensures compliance with SOX process requirements & Finance policy manual

Qualifications:

§ Education/Training:

  • Three plus years’ experience in accounts payable and/or receivables

§ Thorough knowledge of :

  • Microsoft office basics

§ Skill to:

  • Read, comprehend and write instructions, correspondence and memos

  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and communicate findings
