Local Tavern seeking a dedicated Short Order Cook to join our team. As a Short Order Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should possess a willingness to learn, be dependable, reliable, and committed to showing up for scheduled shifts. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food preparation stations and cooking equipment.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our customers.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking of supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Provide excellent customer service by fulfilling orders accurately and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a cook or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and cooking techniques.
- Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
