DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Food Service Worker 1, you will be responsible for preparing meals daily, including grilling and toasting foods, setting up the serving counter, preparing beverages, plating salads, desserts, and fruits, and dicing or peeling ingredients to meet the nutritional needs of our consumers. You will serve meals by dishing out hot and cold foods and pouring beverages. Additionally, you will handle dish washing tasks such as scraping dishes, pre-soaking silverware, operating the dishwasher, and storing clean dishes and utensils to uphold sanitation standards. Your duties also include cleaning and sanitizing all food service areas and equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and 2nd shift (11:00 AM to 7:00 PM), Sunday - Saturday, with two 15 minute breaks. Rotating days off, weekends and holidays will be assigned. Overtime may be required as needed. May change based on operational needs. FREE PARKING! QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
