Job Description:
CMA: Assists the medical provider in the care and treatment of patients. Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination and office based procedures, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician/ physician assistant.
LPN: Assess patient health problems and needs and maintain medical records. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assists the medical provider in the care and treatment of patients. May assist physician or physician assistant with patients.
RN: Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. May dictate discharge summaries as directed by supervising physician. Will also assist in the front office with paperwork and scheduling of appointments as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
CMA: Certified Medical Assistant through approved accrediting board.
LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Iowa
RN: Licensed Registerd Nurse in the State of Iowa
