Empire Merchants North, LLC Allocations Coordinator/Business Analyst - Distributor of Wine & Spirits in West Coxsackie, New York

We are seeking a highly motivated Allocations Coordinator / Business AnalystAssist Business Management Department with the coordination of duties including but not limited to product allocation methods, compliance, and business analytics. Responsible for the maintaining & communicating allocation methods along with drawing conclusions and making recommendations to management based on an appropriate course of action by analyzing sales data, pricing figures, industry related data and any other sources of information. Analysis may include sales forecasting, opportunity identification and evaluation of program performance. Role also entails the development of sales templates and goal development as needed. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS• Works across Departments including Business Management, Purchasing, Pricing and Sales as it relates to Allocations and Analytics. • Creates, loads, maintains, and communicates allocation related information, as necessary.• Audits all information related to allocated items including but not limited to allocation records, pricing, sales orders, and material statuses to ensure compliance with Empire Merchants North Policy and State Regulations. • Communicates the monthly allocation information to Salesforce as well as posting on EMN Website• Maintains the material allocation list by ensuring timely entry, tracking and submission to the NYSLA to ensure compliance with all regulations.• Maintains other condition records when required.• Researches and analyzes discrepancies identified or submitted for review.• Prepares reports as requested.• Interacts across various departments to address and resolve issues, requests, & questions.• Prepares materials for supplier planning meetings by aggregating and reviewing Focus Marketing data, internal sales data, spend data, important demographic and socioeconomic developments and pricing and category trends. • Evaluates the potential impact of pricing modifications or prospective programming elements by reviewing pertinent sales data, research, and comparable examples to forecast sales. • Develops sales templates; collaborates with Business Managers, Division Manager and General Sales Managers to identify business needs and design appropriate, replicable reports. • Trains administrative staff on process to recreate/run templates. • Package data for sales materials by working with Business Manager/Marketing Director to ascertain needed information and converting data into concise facts and visuals that can be easily incorporated into sell sheets, concept sells or presentations. • Completes all necessary training programs by attending, participating, and passing all required tests as defined by management. (e.g., FOCUS MARKETING, ANALYTICAL TRAINING).• Maintains and keeps accurate records in accordance with document retention policies. • Maintains customer and supplier confidence by keeping appropriate information confidential. • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Empire Merchants North offers a competitive compensation package including:Salary Range: $58,500 - $65,000 and annual bonus potentialPaid Holidays, Health Plan options (medical, dental, disability coverage, life insurance, and other voluntary plans), 401K, PTO, vacation accrual, Flexible Spending Account, and more.The company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills, and experience when making an offer.QUALIFICATIONS Education, Certifications and/or licenses:Minimum of a two-year degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent training and work experience.EXPERIENCE: Financial, marketing or business analyst experience; consumer packaged goods or data provider (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) background a plusExperience with SAP, Pro Diver and Winshuttle a plus KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365• Advanced Excel and fluent in relational database programs. Strong knowledge of Power point.• Must be a result-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in front of large groups such as management, clients, customers, and general public.• Mathematical aptitude in calculating discounts, interest, gross profit, and margins.• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.​
