Description
Robert Half is collaborating with a respected organization to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist for their team based in West Des Moines. The role involves overseeing and processing accounts payable, managing relationships with vendors, and executing account reconciliations. You should be an efficient multi-tasker and be able to adjust to evolving priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Processing invoices into the accounting system, ensuring their accuracy and obtaining required approvals.
Reviewing and settling vendor statements.
Assisting in the preparation of regular and year-end financial and analytical reports.
Ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
Maintaining accurate financial files and records.
Addressing all finance-related vendor inquiries, including resolving and mitigating accounts payable issues.
Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in the accounts payable or financial accounting domain preferred.
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
