Job Details Responsibilities: The oncology pharmacist evaluates, processes, prepares and dispenses medication orders for the oncology patient population. Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners, participates in quality improvement, medication use review, clinical activities and/or patient education as directed. Participates in the development of order sets, medication records, educational references and tools for pharmacy staff, nursing staff and medical staff, and competencies for pharmacy staff as directed. Supervises and directs support personnel and in the absence of a supervisor, may be required to assume the essential responsibilities of and perform the duties of the pharmacy supervisor. Provides leadership and direction in accordance with departmental goals and policies and support administrative decisions. Supports the mission and vision of Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy, an MS in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy. Licensed to practice in the State of NY. Completion of PGY2 ASHP Accredited Oncology Residency preferred. Oncology pharmacy board certification preferred (BCOP). Salary Range USD $63.70 - USD $79.60 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
