Job Description

Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, Thermal & Hydraulic/Technology Engineering (THTE) unit in an Electrical Engineer role!  We are seeking a highly motivated electrical engineer with hands on experience to join us in delivering and supporting one-of-a-kind testing systems that provide critical data to serve the Naval Reactors program today and for decades to come!  Together, our team designs, delivers, and supports a host of unique, large-scale testing systems that provide the data necessary to advance our naval technology and capabilities. As a successful candidate, you will: *  Work with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, technicians, project managers, and equipment vendors to deliver innovative thermal and hydraulic testing solutions. *  Perform electrical system and hardware design, evaluation, and selection, and integrate the electrical aspects with the mechanical and fluid systems. *  Select and implement commercial controllers and equipment for use with testing systems to optimize performance and minimize system operator intervention. *  Create schematics for system design to support installation, operation, and maintenance. *  Obtain and maintain lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical worker qualifications to support system startup and troubleshooting. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills

Experience with process control systems, data acquisition systems, and/or power distribution systems. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplined team and deliver complex systems. GPA of 3.0 or higher

Pay Range $83,600.00 - $130,700.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
