TEKsystems Installer Technician-low Voltage in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania

Description:

Installs and pulls wire as per specifications ▪ Installs and wires equipment used in systems ▪ Tests all equipment after termination is made to ensure performance of system ▪ Works in compliance with the Company’s safety manual with safety of self and others in mind at all times ▪ Responsible for the proper maintenance and care of company assigned vehicles. Vehicle must be clean and free of defects that are considered unsafe by the company or state law. ▪ Submits all paperwork in a complete and timely manner (example: vehicle log, timesheets, etc.) ▪ Communicates daily with Lead Installer or Project Managers on delays, requirements and general status of jobs Maintains daily logbook up to date with customer requests, worked performed each day, job numbers, dates and times and tasks assigned to Installers and Apprentices ▪ Ensures timesheets are accurate, filled out completely with job numbers, phase codes, time adds up, hours are correct, time card is signed and submitted every Monday by 8:00 am to Operations Department Administrator. Also responsible for the accuracy of Apprentice timesheets. ▪ Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems and installation techniques ▪ Performs all work according to Company standards and quality All jobs are run within each phase’s estimate (example: wire pull, mounting, etc.) ▪ Work with Technical Support Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance ▪ Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turn over of jobs to the Customer and Service Department

nimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location. ▪ Knowledge: − 1+ years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily − Proper hand and power tool operations and safety − Ability to read blue prints and schematics − Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic − Basic computer skills ▪ Skills/Abilities: − Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision − Ability to finish projects − Ability to organize workload for effective implementation − Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations − Strong customer and results orientation − Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures − Ability to function as an effective team member − Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves − CPR qualified
