Surgical Technologist (ST)
Reading Hospital is a Center for Bariatric Surgery, total joints, cardiac, DaVinci Robot, ENT, Ortho, GYN, Breast Stereotaxic program, and a Level I Trauma Center caring for 17,000 patients undergoing surgical procedures each year. Reading Hospital has 24 brand new operating rooms, 6 with hybrid capabilities, including robotic surgery. Advancements in spinal surgery including minimally invasive procedures along with stealth-guided navigation systems for brain surgery and shunt placement are found in our ORs.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist the surgical team during procedures, passing instruments and supplies as needed.
Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as required.
Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.
Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
