Job Description

Responsible for the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and reporting on the performance of various sites across Olympus. Lead business initiatives to automate solutions and enhance data visualizations and dashboards. Provide recommendations and delivers insights that help guide management decisions. Lead and mentor other data analysts. Ensure user adoption and identifies and manages continuous improvement efforts.

Job Duties

  • Establish, maintain and monitor Quality KPIs across all Olympus entities.

  • Interpret and present data trends and provide analytical insights and recommendations to senior management to aid in decision making.

  • Continually ensure quality and integrity of the source information/data that is relied upon by management in their decision making.

  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality issues through appropriate error detection and correction and process control.

  • Work cross functionally to document, design and develop, and test reporting and analytics solutions using business solution tools and best practices. This includes interfacing with IT and management to develop data standard requirements.

  • Provide leadership in design and development of Olympus Global quality systems data standards.

  • Lead projects that build automated solutions in business intelligence tools such as Power BI that provide creative and insightful views of data.

  • Develop a detailed understanding of data structures and master data concepts to better support the business.

  • Understand relationships between front end applications and data repositories.

  • Lead or support quality and compliance projects as requested, and perform other assigned duties as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a 4-year college degree (Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent in a technical or data-related field is required

  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in a medical device, pharma, or other regulated industry

  • Experience with PowerBI or similar data analytics tools.

  • Working experience with 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485 and other applicable regulations

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization tools);

  • Competent with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Visio, Adobe, DocuSign, Agile and Windows platforms.

  • Familiarity with basic statistical analysis

  • Familiarity with writing database queries (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, etc.)

  • In this Global role, the individual will be expected to schedule meetings that work for multiple time zones and up to 10% travel should be expected, sometimes in short notice.

Preferred:

  • Ability to collect and synthesize data and convert them into actions.

  • Ability to collaborate, develop strong working relationships, and demonstrate leadership and project management capabilities within a matrixed organization environment.

  • Bias for action, impeccable organizational skills, critical thinking, solutions-oriented, attentive to detail

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $111,675.00 - $156,345.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
