THE JOB
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take on the Facilities Manager role at the Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair. This position exercises overall responsibility for facility maintenance, physical plant and the management of facilities part-time staff and all vendors. This role is a part time season role and will be reporting to the Operations Manager of the venue.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Responsible for managing all aspects of facility maintenance, including but not limited to, preventive maintenance, third party contracting, and general repairs
Continuously identifies areas of the venue that may need repairs
Carry out maintenance tasks throughout the venue assigned by the operations manager
Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to coordinate larger maintenance projects and repairs
Work with vendors to provide accurate maintenance quotes for projects and repairs
Verifies and submits invoices in a timely manner
Permitting and inspections with all local town, county, state, federal agencies
Assists in recommending managing capital expenditure and large R&M projectsManages projects related to repairs and maintenance for all areas of the venue
In conjunction with all management and other personnel, works to provide a safe and enjoyable facility for guests and employees including all Service Culture training
Ensure optimum operating condition of all theatre equipment
Implementation and execution of all Live Nation policies, procedures, and programs
Coordinate and manage subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure safe, efficient and successful events
Ordering of and proper storage of all venue chemicals and related data sheets per standards
Position requires working some events along with non-event days for optimal venue success
Other duties as may be assigned
Ensure that all safety standards are meet according to OSHA properties
Ensure that all safety equipment is available and kept in stock (fire extinguishers and safety glasses)
Coordinate with all operations managers to ensure property is kept up
All plumbing HVAC and electrical systems are operating to standard
All light construction work is being completed in a timely manner
All painting work is being kept clean and standard
Maintain Appropriate Relationships with Local Vendors
Ensure that relationships with local vendors are professional
Coordinate and over see snow removal and pest control
Service and maintain or coordinate service as needed for all of the F&B fridges, freezers, ice machines etc
Comparative price shopping
Flowering and mulching Upkeep of all plants at the exterior of the building
Provide a positive environment within the department
Maintain open communication with staff
Ensure that staff training is complete and satisfactory
Physical Work Requirements:
Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, pushing, balancing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, handling. Ability to walk and stand for long period of time
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds
Ability to work in a very fast paced environment with considerable noise and interruptions. Must be able to change activity frequently.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Knowledge of general maintenance specialties; Plumbing, electrical, carpentry , HVAC, etc.
Minimum of two years’ experience as Facilities Manager in a comparable venue
Ability to perform general maintenance tasks such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing etc.
Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
The expected compensation for this position is:
$28.00 USD - $35.00 USD Hourly
** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
