COULEECAP Energy Auditor in WESTBY, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY: Performs comprehensive energy audits and detailed work orders on houses. This is a key position in the Energy Services Department since the Energy Auditor details work to be done. Work orders must be appropriate to the situation, measurements accurate, and priorities followed in order for crews and office staff to perform at their optimum level and to realize maximum energy savings for the client. Performs energy saving analyses, provides client energy and safety education, and assists with product research, materials ordering, tool and equipment maintenance, and inventory. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supports and upholds Couleecap\'s mission to fight poverty and promote self-sufficiency for individuals by helping to identify needs, mobilize resources, and provide quality services. Initiates client contact after approved application is received. Organizes and schedules houses to be inspected. Trained in Pressure Diagnostics and identifies problem areas in homes for crews. Performs furnace/water heater inspections to ensure safe operation. Creates work orders and enters information into WIS-WAP computerized reporting system. Fills out all appropriate paperwork in client file. Assists the Inventory Manager in ordering special items, landlord issues, and special contractor work. Performs in-progress and post inspections (quality control) as directed by Energy Services Director. Approves change orders in cooperation with Inventory Manager, Energy Services Director and crews. Attends meetings and training sessions. Educates clients about energy conservation measures. Prepares and submits reports in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for maintenance of tools and equipment (furnace analyzers, testing equipment). Responsible for assisting with the QA Monitoring process as needed and directed by the Energy Services Director. Duties may range from just coordinating up to and including managing the inspection process in its entirety. Responsible for learning and becoming proficient with the various software and database programs used by the department, such as Microsoft Office, NEAT/MHEA electronic audit, and other diagnostic programs. Ability to understand, appreciate, and interact with people from all cultures or belief systems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires two years of education beyond high school; junior college, community college, or university; or 4 to 7 years previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
