Who you are?
We are seeking applicants for the position of Fire Assayer, who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this roles offers. You will be based at Malaga, WA and will be responsible for using specialised equipment to test minerals for precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
Some of your tasks will be:
Weigh samples for analysis
Fluxing, firing, knock-up and cupellation of samples
Picking prill for digest
Ensure correct procedures are used and adhered to
Follow QHSE procedure
This role has the potential to get exposure to other departments and mineral testing processes, including fire assay analysis, sample weighing and gold analysis.
What you will bring to the role?
Reliable and keen to work
Physically fit, prepared to carry out manual tasks
Have the ability to follow set procedures and good attention to detail
Be willing to work as part of a team with a high focus on quality & safety
Enthusiastic to learn, no previous experience required
What is the roster:
Monday to Friday roster – Day shift, early starts with early finishes
Guaranteed overtime each week
Please note that as part of the recruitment process you must be able to pass a medical which includes a drug and alcohol test and routine blood testing.
