Hyatt Chef De Partie in WESTERN CAPE, South Africa

Description:

Hyatt Regency Cape Town is currently seeking a Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team working in our restaurants Cape 126 and our fine dinning restaurant. If you are passionate about food, creativity and delivering high standards, we would love to hear from you.

Key duties, but not limited:

  • Prepare, cook and present dishes to the high standard in your section.

  • assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for you

  • Ensure that all food preparation is Completed in a timely manner.

  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in either fine dining or A La Carte or similar role in a profession kitchen.

  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.

  • Experience working in a hotel kitchen.
