Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. Corporate Tax Manager in Westlake Village, California

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for federal, state, and local corporate income tax compliance. Represent and coordinate state and local tax audits. Assist federal tax audit and tax provision. Manage tax planning and tax research as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Income Tax Manager

• Preparation of consolidated federal and multi-state corporate estimated tax payments, tax extensions, and returns using OneSource Income Tax

• Review city tax extensions, estimated tax payments and returns

• Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits.

• Review/prepare responses to notices from taxing authorities

• Coordinate information gathering from various internal departments to support the tax projects

• Prepare schedules necessary for interim and year-end US income tax provisions

• Perform tax planning and research for international, federal, state, and local issues

• Prepare Forms 5471 workpapers

• Prepare Forms 5472

• Prepare Forms 1042

• Assist in the implementation of new income tax provision software

• Supervise the maintenances of tax records

• Supervise, lead and provide direction to junior team members

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or other related area required

• Minimum 7 years' progressively responsible tax experience

• Management/supervisory/leadership experience

• Must have consolidated federal and combined state return preparation/review experience

• OneSource Income Tax system compliance experience preferred

• Well-rounded knowledge of corporate tax, GAAP and IFRS accounting is required.

• CPA preferred

• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred

• Corporate e-file experience preferred

• Knowledge of the workings of GILTI, BEAT and Section 163(j) preferred

• Working knowledge of CheckPoint and BNA is a plus

• Working knowledge of Oracle Finance and Tax Reporting Cloud Service is a plus

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

• Proficient computer experience is required in MS Excel/Word/Outlook

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Demonstrate strong analytic and problem-solving skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work with other departments and outside service providers

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to supervise, lead, and provide direction to others
