Aerotek CNC Machinist in Westminster, Massachusetts

Job Description

The candidate will work in a clean and organized machine shop environment equipped with 18 different 3-axis machining centers, including a mix of milling and lathe machines, both vertical and horizontal. The role involves working closely with the supervisor to verify offsets and setups. There is no programming required, as the process is clearly laid out with step-by-step written instructions. This is a hands-off position with a focus on reading routers and blueprints, recording information, and performing basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the supervisor to verify offsets and setups.

  • Read and understand routers and blueprints.

  • Record information and perform basic math.

  • Operate CNC machines with a focus on repeat jobs, minimizing the need for setup.

Essential Skills

  • US Citizenship

  • CNC operating experience

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Troubleshooting

  • Change over

  • CNC setup

  • CNC programming (not required but nice to have)

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 6am to 2:30/3pm, with half-day Saturdays encouraged and additional hours available. Most employees work a 50-hour week.
