Are you an experienced Product Manager with a strong passion for mobile and creating exceptional user experiences? Join our team at UKG and lead our Mobile team to new heights of excellence. As a Product Manager for our Mobile team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our software, ensuring consistency, usability, and elegance across our product suite. Your expertise will be the foundation upon which we build a seamless and user-friendly mobile experience. This Product Manager will work closely with development teams to deliver on the overall mobile vision, always focusing on delivering customer value across multiple releases. You will manage this roadmap and ensure each product release is successful by fostering team collaboration, continuous improvement and representing the voice of the customer. You will own the direction of features for the mobile team and clearly define the product metric goals and the right mechanisms to collect, track, report and react to the data. 

You will take responsibility for what features are built; helping the cross functional team of developers, designers, and testers understand vision and priority. It will be expected that you will stay current with evolving product practices and development methodologies and learn new skills as needed; identify process issues and propose process changes to resolve them; and mentor others within the product organization with best practices and latest trends.  

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Inspires and leads product development team with manager’s support but not authority. 

• Takes accountability for the successful delivery of all roadmap releases and features along with achieving product goals and KPIs. 

• Proactively problem-solves product development issues and escalates to senior leadership as needed. 

• Understands the market and becomes the voice of the customer.

• Leads discovery sessions with internal and external stakeholders and validates opportunities and solutions as part of defining the product strategy, vision, and roadmap. 

• Uses data to help inform and prioritize product decisions and priorities including to derive a compelling product value proposition and vision for the next 1-3 years. 

• Breaks the product vision into product releases and features that continuously deliver value to the customer. 

• Clearly defines and manages product metric goals and the right mechanisms to collect, track, report and react to the data.  Reports on product metrics with leadership on a regular basis. 

• Ensures organizational readiness. Keeps development, design and product teams up to date with the latest product vision and roadmap.  

• Assists with product positioning, key messaging and learning materials. 

• Possess the knowledge and the tools to be ready for internal training and demos. 

• Assists services and engineering troubleshooting product escalations from customers.

• Continuously improves the practice of product management 

• Manages the backlog and prioritizes features and requirements to meet goals on time and with quality.

• Breaks features into vertically sliced stories and clearly communicates these requirements to engineers and designers via user stories, flow diagrams, use case scenarios and acceptance criteria to help focus the team on solving the right challenges.

Qualifications

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. We are not able to sponsor a visa, now or in the future, for this position. This would include an OPT status.

Minimum required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, tech, design or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• 2+ years of experience in a Product Manager role

• Record of delivering features on time, with quality and value (with an ability to modify scope)

• Familiarity working with software development methods such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, unit testing, modules, agile development

We work in a collaborative hybrid model. Being on site 3 days per week in the office is required. Local candidates highly preferred.

Preferred

• Experience working with a team abroad

• Mobile development experience

• Familiarity with mapping user flows, and understanding how people use complex products or broad suites is a plus

• Ability to work independently to define and prioritize product features

• Communicates well to a wide variety of people. Engineers, architects, designers, customers, peers

• Analytical skills to understand product vision and break it into smaller but still valuable pieces

• Self-motivated and passionate about product

• Inclusive and supportive of others with different perspectives and backgrounds

• Comfortable working in a highly technical environment, working with software development and User Experience teams

• Familiarity with managing multiple roadmaps, and understanding how people use complex products or broad suites is a plus
