Key activities may include:
Prepare sales results and ensure correct revenue recognition in conjunction with Sales and Finance teams;
Work with Finance Team in completing month end requirements for the business unit, ensuring Corporate deadlines are met;
Preparing month end Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) data workpapers including data input;
Support the preparation of monthly forecasts, through causal analysis and other group reporting requirements;
Prepare business performance and accounting reports as required, with particular focus on manufacturing reporting;
Analyse General Ledger accounts and investigate variances between plan and forecast;
Participate in the annual plan process;
Preparation and review of various monthly reports with operational managers focusing on costs, revenue and margin reporting;
Processing of month end journals where required;
Preparation of general ledger reconciliations including intercompany transactions and adjusting journals;
Provide analysis recommendations;
Supporting inhouse projects;
Commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements; and
Any other duties directed by your manager.
Qualifications and Skills
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Economics;
Commenced or to be commencing CPA or CA Program;
An understanding/ experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting analysis would be beneficial;
Ability to effectively communicate financial and costing concepts with others;
Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines;
Effective organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
