Description

The Program Coordinator for the Terry Brenneis & David Boger Hub for Long – Term Survivors will be responsible for the direct implementation of all programming occurring with the hub, which includes, but is not limited to Group level interventions, Individual level support activities, training workshops, and community events. This position will be responsible for the management and oversight of any new programming that is funded and housed within the Hub. In addition, this position is responsible for providing direct supervision to the LTS Peer Assistants and volunteers.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are mandatory requirements of the job:

  • Provide administrative support and direct supervision to the Peer Educators/Volunteers.

  • Co-facilitate assigned training modules, with peers and other staff, as needed, as well as weekly LTS Hub Events/activities.

  • Ensure proper documentation of service delivery, incentive distribution, and other documentation, is completed and in compliance with funders and agency requirements.

  • Schedule and lead debriefing of workshops & review of surveys, with appropriate staff, to determine areas of improvement, as needed.

  • Assist in the timely completion of interim reports, annual reports, and other reports required by partners.

  • Identify internal and external services for referrals to further support Hub clients.

  • Identify speakers and guests for webinars, as appropriate and based on program.

  • Schedule all activities, including but not limited to virtual and in-person activities, as appropriate.

  • Provide, facilitate and/or coordinate educational opportunities on topics of particular interest to LTS clients (e.g., personal finance, health comorbidities, computer use proficiency, use of social media, estates and wills, money saving tips, etc.).

  • Participate in city-wide coalitions/ groups concerned with LTS issues.

  • Promote LTS Hub services at GMHC and external community events.

  • Work closely with the Analytics & Evaluation team to ensure accurate data management, and retrieval for agency wide Continuous Quality Improvement projects.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Certification

  • A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twelve semester credits in health education, or in health, social or biological sciences. Master’s degree would an advantage.

Special Skills and Knowledge

In addition to the above-listed job responsibilities and educational requirements, the ideal candidate for this position possesses most or all the following:

  • Deep personal or professional understanding of the experiences and needs of LTS clients, particularly LGBT community aging with HIV.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Organized, meticulous and knowledgeable of programs and services for LGBTQ+ aging with HIV.

  • Exceptional knowledge of HIV, its progression, and relayed complications

  • Friendly and personable interpersonal style with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to interface with clients, GMHC staff and external partners.
