Job Description General Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of industrial hygiene and asbestos projects to ensure that they are safely completed on time and within scope and budget. Responsible for completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delays. May be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and working with external vendors, subcontractors or contractors. Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to project team and client. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones. May have responsibilities to communicate with the client and deliver work products to satisfaction of client. Coordinates effort with APR to make sure that APR has opportunity to engage throughout the project, particularly at critical junctures. Is involved with approving invoices, preparing change orders, and collections.
As Senior Project Manager working on Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene projects you will work closely with the Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene Group Manager / Environmental Department Manager to prepare winning proposals for asbestos sampling and abatement oversight, lead and/or other hazardous materials inspections, industrial hygiene, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), mold projects, and will help to deliver proper scoping of services, availability of staff, and profitable pricing. You will prepare and review reports documenting inspections and abatement projects for clients. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior staff on data collection, data quality, and report generation.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Help lead safety efforts and ensure staff working on your projects follow safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment, demonstrating safety practices, and promoting pre-task planning for all projects. Prepare proposals and cost estimates. Perform and/or lead field surveys for asbestos, lead-containing paint, IAQ, mold and other regulated hazardous substances. Responsible for conducting and/or leading site IH sampling, results analysis and interpretation, conducting IH exposure assessments, documenting site activities, and making written recommendations relative to health and safety on projects with a variety of complex features including chemical use and potential generation of byproducts. Prepare reports documenting the findings of surveys and communicating findings and recommendations to clients. Review technical to ensure quality and accuracy of reported findings. Develop an understanding and be aware of project-related risks. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the company. Be familiar with company risk policies. Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices. With support from the Group/Department managers, perform business and client development activities.Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental or other Engineering, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related discipline Minimum of 9+ years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and team. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.Preferred Certification: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Certification and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certification. AHERA/CDPHE-Certified Asbestos Building Inspector, Management Planner, and Project Designer. CDPHE Air Monitoring Specialist. CDPHE Certified Lead-Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor. Solid understanding of EPA, OSHA, and CO Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint Regulations. Solid backg ound in conducting Mold and Indoor Air Quality assessments. Solid background in industrial hygiene assessments.
