Washington Music Sales Center Accessories Sales in Wheaton, Maryland

Do you play multiple instruments? Do you love effects pedals and modelers? Have you worked in studio production, home recording, or studio environments? If you have experience with lots of different types of gear and are looking for a foot in the door of our store or the music retail world as whole, we have a perfect job opening for you.

Our Accessories Department, or "Front Counter", carries a huge selection of equipment for guitars, bass, vocalists, woodwinds, brass, orchestral strings, live audio, studio, and effects. Chuck Levin's is looking for one more associate on this Accessories Sales team!

Thisis a full-timehourlyposition - usually scheduled five days a week Monday-Saturday.All full-time employees are offered benefits including healthcare, dental, life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k).Compensation expected between $18-22/hr.

Qualified candidates should be excellent communicators, client-oriented salespeople, and well-versed in professional music work environments. Work history should include, but is not limited to, music retail, venue operation, professional performance, and talent promotion.

Requirements:

  • Saturday availability
  • Excellent communicator in-person, online, and by phone
  • Passionate about music and music technology
  • Friendly and client-oriented
  • Interested in sales
  • Comfortable working with a wide variety of customers and coworkers
  • Capable in independent or team environments

Accessories salespeople must be familiar with the following categories to a certain extent:

  • Orchestral string instruments
  • Woodwind and brass
  • Guitars and basses
  • Amplifiers
  • Pedals and effects
  • Basic live audio production and studio recording
