Sodexo has an excellent growth opportunity for a General Manager (Food Service Director) at MontCare Wheaton , a 95 bed skilled nursing, rehabilitation and healthcare center in Wheaton, Maryland . This a great opportunity for a hands on manager who is seeking to grow their career. This is a small community with tenured employees who work together as a supportive and motivated team.The General Manager ensures client, customer service/satisfaction with efficient cost effective management that both meets and exceeds expectations.

The successful candidate will:
oversee daily dining operations;
interface closely and daily with residents, client executive level leadership and client board members;
control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved;
continuously update industry knowledge on current food trends and ingredients, making sure they lead the way in innovation and originality;
ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved.

have dietary knowledge and be willing to obtain a dietary manager certification;

have culinary experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
have a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
