Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The role involves working with large coils of metals (stainless, aluminum, copper, steel), using a crane to load them into machines that cut them into smaller coils or large sheets of metal. This position is part of a Union shop, with Union membership required after 90 days.
Responsibilities
Repair equipment and machinery, including conveyors, slitters, edgers, and cut-to-length machines.
Work with other technicians to perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a daily and weekly basis.
Perform reactive maintenance as needed.
Essential Skills
2+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience, including AC/DC motor knowledge, VFD and relay troubleshooting, schematics, and electrical continuity testing.
2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical prints knowledge.
Comfortable with heights, as maintenance on catwalks may be required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PLC troubleshooting knowledge is a plus.
Formal schooling in electrical maintenance is desirable.

Work Environment
The facility has 30 production employees and features overhead cranes throughout to load coils into machines and onto trucks. Trucks drive into the facility for loading. The machines cut large metal coils into smaller coils or large sheets of metal, and there is a crating area, which is a carpentry shop for making crates.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00
